The Free Plan Has 5 accounts and Basic Paid Plan Has 2… Why?!
Quite a few people have looked at the TweetMiner plans page and seen that the Free account offers 5 accounts yet the lowest tier paid plan offers 2 accounts…. how could that be?!
One of the great things about TweetMiner is how fantastic it is at dealing with multiple accounts by listing them all in the left hand navigation. Because they are always visible it is super easy to switch accounts and read/post/etc.
This benefit is even more enhanced and obvious when using more than two accounts. Using it with 5 accounts really shows off this benefit.
I wanted to find a way that I could let people experience this for free. With that in mind I devised a free plan that would give users a serious taste of TweetMiner with 5 accounts.
However, even though they get 5 accounts you will note they are limited in other ways. The Free plan scheduled messages are limited to 150 per month across all 5 accounts. This limits a user to 2 weeks usage at 10 scheduled messages a day. The free plan is also limited to 5 RSS feeds per account, this gives a taste but is not as good as paid plans. Also, you can’t use your own bit.ly for link tracking in the Free account.
That’s the reason why the Free plan has five accounts.
Now to explain why the first paid plan has 2!
My original idea was not to have a plan with less than 5 accounts. Originally the free account AND the first paid account both had 5 accounts @ $10/month….
But, I got a lot requests from people who said they only had 1 Twitter Account. They explained that they did not need the extra resources that the 5 account plan offered. They asked me to create a lower plan @ $5/month with 1 or 2 accounts.
So I did.
The basic plan is perfect for users with 1-2 accounts as it does not limit them nearly as much as the free account, yet it does not cost them as much as a 5 account plan.
Hope this clears things up!
